Paul, we have a Sportster 28.8 connected through an HP 92219Q modem cable to
a DTC48 modem port.  On the modem, DIP switches 3 and 8 are down, all the
rest up.  I would guess that would be the same on newer modems.  If you need
to know what those settings are, I will find a manual and look them up.  Our
NMMGR settings for the port are:
TermType 10
Speed 19200
Record width 80
Modem type 1
Modem behavior 1
Parity none
Speed/Parity sensing Y
Reset HP terminal N
Hardware handshaking N
Allow :Hello logon Y
NLIO device N
