Thanks Stan. Here are some test results!

I created a group KEV on a UV, place files therein.
VSCLOSE UV.
purgegroup  KEV
VSOPEN UV
REPORT [log in to unmask] shows no group KEV
NEWGROUP KEV.acct
BUILD A.KEV.acct
REPORT [log in to unmask] shows KEV as local to system, not on UV.
ALTGROUP KEV.acct;HOMEVS=UV
error in use.
PURGE A.KEV.acct
ALTGROUP KEV.acct;HOMEVS=UV
LISTF @.KEV.acct,2     and all files are restored!
