First - Outlook has a Remote Mail feature -- on install, you can enable it
for this feature. It will pull the headers of mail waiting on the server
and let you download only what you want to download.
Secondly -- on the "blankness" - the message you were referring to was RTF.
Outlook should have been able to handle that. If not - the text was:

Or write your own socket-based applications. All logic running on the HP,
less data traffic on your network. Although this approach is better for GUI
applications than for reports I guess. On the other hand we publish reports
on our intranet server that ran on the HP and were transfered to the server
with Reflection commands in a Cobol file transfer program.
