Just ran accross an article on NT vs Unix that includes MPE/iX when
talking about SAMBA:

 Linux can use a
software package called Samba that ships with most distributions to
 achieve this. Samba is
available for practically all UNIX operating systems. It has also
been ported to VMS, MVS, OS/2,
 Stratus-VOS, Amiga, Novell, and MPE/iX.

Complete article at: http://kirch.net/unix-nt/ by John Kirch
The article plays up the use of Linux and Solaris.
