I also found the manual "Getting Started as an MPE/iX Programmer"
fairly useful. It does contain a few errors or typos as far as I
recall (so don't believe every word you read) but overall it seems
like a good intro for someone who knows programming how to get in
touch with HP 3000 and MPE/iX (how to log on, account structure
basics, editing, compiling, linking, image, ksam, vplus etc).

For those who prefer reading over a class (or have no choice).
