OK, we think we finally found the problem with Usenet to List issues.
If you remember, we could go from the List to Usenet without a problem. It
was the other way that was causing us fits. The problem, it seems, was our
feed from Usenet --- we were getting messages from the list just fine, and
sending them. Messages from Usenet, however, were *not* getting in here,
and as such, not making it to the list.
We think we have this licked.
So - those of you who have NNTP Newsreaders and access to Usenet - please do
us a favor to test this -- we have set up our Newsfeed again, cleared all
message buffers, and severed all connections to HP3000-L for now. Please
send several test messages (nothing big - just a test message) to
comp.sys.hp.mpe. We should see within an hour or two, whether they are
making it in.
If this works, we will activate a feed to HP3000-L and make sure they go
through to the list.
If this works, we will then REACTIVATE our List to Usenet link. Jeff can
then either watch as it goes merrily along (dups and all) or sever the link
to American.
Either way, I'd like to either see this fly today, or fly in a week (I AM
going on vacation tomorrow ;) I just love "crunch time" - don't you? ;)
Seriosly though - thanks for any assistance you can provide here.
Best Regards,
Joe
