Ah, yes.  The famous CANDE (Command and Edit) program.  I worked on a B1855
back in the 70s and 80s.

I thought the Burroughs OS was fairly sharp.  There were relatively few
multiple job processors in those days.  IBM had the System3/15, but that was
hard-partitioned into three work areas and cost three times as much as a
Burroughs or HP system.

Of course we traded our B1855 in for an HP3000/44   :>)
