Well GB implies 1 billion bytes but the billion is in computer terms 1024 * 1024
* 1024 =  1073741824 and a sector if I remember right and HP has not changed it
is 128 Half-words (or words if we are talking Classic HP). Now the actual layout
of the sectors was 138 Half-words, overhead. Now multiply that by 2 for each
byte in a half-word and you get 276 and divide that into the large number above
and you get  3890368.927536 or 3,890,368 million sectors per 1 GB.
