This was a much-requested enhancement but I now see, thanks to Mark's
message, that the "PURGE entrypoint functionality" should have remained
unchanged (i.e., the enhancement should only take effect within a "true"
online interactive environment in which the user engages into some sort of
two-way conversation with DBUTIL).

It is a high priority for CSY (in general) and for the IMAGE folks (in
particular) to preserve the dialogue characteristics of batch-like things
(such as Mark's CI command file).  I am sure Mark's comments will get to
the appropriate people within HP.

Besides posting this note to HP3000-L, I am sending copies of this message
to my colleagues at the SIEC (SIGIMAGE Executive Committee).
