I recently had an experience in a USAirways Club of trying to connect to my
ISP and failing miserably. The phone had a dataport, but the instructions
said - more or less - dial first, and then plug into the dataport. This
sounded rather like the old acoustic couplers, where you waited until the
phone squawked back at you, and then slapped the handset into the foam
strait-jacket.

Questions - I could not find any way to set up my modem to support this
(Windows 95 on a Toshiba portable), and there was no way that I could get
dial-tone to the dataport. Can anyone give me any pointers to how I can
accomplish this?

TIA
TOny
