We just had our first 4GB HASS disk fail -- in service for over a year.
Predictive picked up on it, so we were able to schedule replacement. After
what I've read about others' experiences with these devices, lately, I hope
this isn't the start of a trend. :-(

Subject: two 2GB HASS disks failing in less than a week

I just had my second 2GB FWD SCSI HASS disk (model A3318A) failure in less
than a week (different LDEVs). Both of the failing disks were the same
age.
The serial number of the most recent failure is SGS3012632.
With two failures in less than a week, I am obviously concerned. Is
anybody
else having similar failures?
