I got this response back from Greg on my post earlier in the week about
Oracle on the 3000s. Anyone out there using the Gateway product? What is
the interface? I have heard it is just an ODBC type connection and is far
from being cheap. Can anyone expand on the product?

TIA

May I get crazy? Use IMAGE on the 3Ks, and consider the Oracle
Transparent GateWay to shuttle data between the 3K and the Oracle boxes.
Best of both worlds - IMAGE performance, and transparent access between
it and the other databases. I for one cannot believe the nonsense we are
going thru with Oracle on our 3K; IMAGE has spoiled me.
