On my Command Files "Sample" page there's a few MPEX command files:

There's one there called EDITQUAD, which does what you want, but
from the CI (colon) prompt (although you could jump into MPEX and
type the commands there!)

From within MPEX the 'QEDIT' command works very much the same way.
