We've done just that. We used a SPUR interface box. The Xerox 4050 had
'Bus and Tag' (IBM Mainframe type) cables, and it ran from the network card
on our HP 3000. The SPUR box provided the interface between the 'network'
and the 'bus and tag' cabling system on the Xerox 4050. We had to work with
Quest Software and their NBSPOOL product to make it all work properly.
If you're interested in more info, let me know.

Subject: Problems conecting HP3000 and Xerox 4050.
We need information about the conection between an Hp3000 and a Xerox
Printer 4050 using TCP/IP.
This printer uses a SUN as a controller device.
Questions: a - Is the above possible?
b - Xerox suggest the installation of Native LPR on the
HP3000?
Thanks in advance
