Or if your ISP supports it - use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) over the
Internet so that your information is protected.  VPN can be implemented via
many firewalls, as well as Encrypting Routers.

Again - a firewall or encrupting router with a VPN is a necessity - for
security's sake.
