Odessa, Texas, 300 miles from anywhere.  It's not quite the end of the
world, but the flashing arrow signs would point the way.

You knew you were downtown when you saw "the biggest jack-rabbit in Texas"
-a tacky plastic thing about 10 feet high on the edge of the parking lot.
The biggest local tourist attraction was the meteor crater - a slight
depression in the ground where the locals would go for target practise on
the "no parking" signs.  It wasn't just that you couldn't DRINK the water -
you smelt worse AFTER taking a shower than you did before!  As the final
straw, there weren't any HP3000s in town and I had to work on a you-know-what.

However, what keeps Texas from sliding into the Gulf of Mexico?  Oklahoma
sucks.
