Does anyone know where to find information for a screen handler used for
the HP3000 COBOL environment made by a company called InfoComp Systems, Inc
in 1983? The screen compiler is called SCRBLD2 (or some variation I
suppose).

I have a customer who has two versions in use and only one version has the
source code for its compiler.

The challenge: Year 2000 issue with the date fields. They need to be
expanded to handle CCYYMMDD field formats.

I need to either:
A. Locate the current vendor supporting this old product and hopefully get
a Y2K-compliant version.
B. Locate another shop that uses this stuff who has the source code for
the screen compilers (and maybe even a Y2K-compliant version).
C. Reverse engineer the object code of the version missing the source code
(it's Fortran).
D. Change all the YYMMDD fields to character fields and insert date
validation calls in the COBOL sources (least desirable).

An obvious but not optional alternative: convert all of the older-versio
n-screen-programs to the newer version (the one with the source code for
the compiler). The effort is too great to make this a profitable project.

So there's the proverbial "needle in the haystack".
