ODBC/SE on MPE/iX 5.5 and timeouts

It seems that the ODBC/SE time is there ...
also we encountered a problem:

our application people are using IMPROMPTU to access the TurboImage/SQL database.
Everything runs fine but when they try to do a sequential search they encounter a
timeout after 180 to 240 seconds.

Is there a known bug ?
Where can timeouts be configured ?

It must be a N/W problem or a HP3K problem ... because this happens accessing the
HP3K via ODBC on the LAN (same site) or on the WAN (other country).

Every helpful hint is appreciated.
