We've done this with a Shiva LanRover, which closely resembles your Cisco
RAS.
The Cisco should be sitting on the network - not directly connected to the
3000. The 3000 also sits on the network.
Ensure that TCP/IP is configured for each dial-in port. More than likely,
NetBEUI is configured, but that won't get you to the 3000 - TCP/IP is also
needed for each port.
Enable PPP for each port as well - this is what DUN needs to communicate.
DUN is basically a PPP dialer for TCP/IP (it also handles NetBEUI and IPX as
well - but again, these don't get you to the 3000).
After TCP/IP is configured for each port, each port has an IP address,
either a dedicated address or assigned with DHCP, reboot the Cisco unit.
Test it by setting up a DUN Connectoid (a term we beta testers came up with
long ago :) - after creating the connectoid, right click it, select
properties, and assign TCP/IP to it. Set it up to obtain an IP address from
the server. The Cisco RAS should assign the IP address just fine.
Hopefully this helps.
Best Regards,
Joe
