Thank you,

SDTODIF worked that way under my MPE/V:

run sdtodif.pub.sys;info="manuloca.data,manuldif.data,1"

SDTODIF (A.00.01) HP32134 (c) COPYRIGHT Hewlett-Packard Co. 1983

FILENAME CODE ------------LOGICAL RECORD----------- ----SPACE----
SIZE TYP EOF LIMIT R/B SECTORS #X MX

MANULDIF DIF 254B VA 20122 20158 1 5040 1 8
MANULOCA SD 440B FA 456 456 4 819 8 8

One more question:
Can you give me a place where the DIF format is described?
                Regards
                            Frank

You need three virtues in the life:
1. strength - to change the things which are changeable,
2. patience - to endure the things which are unchangeable,
3. wisdom - to distinguish the above two kinds of things.> but sdtodif no longer works on mpe/ix 5.0.
