We use Speedware Version 7.04 on a series 947 and think it is the greatest
thing for application development. It's been our primary development tool
for a little less than 7 years. We have migrated every application over
from Cobol and look forward to working with Visual Speedware. The only
issues regarding performance come from the way applications are written.

We are an Amisys shop and saw a demo of Speedware today. We looked at a
list of
their products including Speedware, Easy Report Writer, Autobahn, Media and
I
believe a couple of other things which I can not think of off the top of my
head
(brain overflow). I know I have seen information about both of these
products
on this list and from what I have seen it has been positive. I have two
questions:

1. Is it really as good as it seems or will it fall to pieces later?

2. Currently we do all of our reporting using Suprtool and Quiz and we are
experiencing significant DISK I/O bottlenecks. Will Speedware help or hurt
this
bottle neck.

All opinions (especially the bad) are more than welcome.

Thanks in advance.
