Anybody doing proactive patching should stay away from MPEJXV9B. This patch
attempts to fix a problem with purging HFS directories, but unfortunately
breaks something else that results in the directories getting bogus non-zero
accessor counts, and thus not being purgable because the system thinks the
directories are still being used by somebody.
The only way you can reset the accessor counts is to reboot your machine. Then
you can successfully purge the directories.
I discovered this problem by doing some recursive directory purges via
"rm -fR", which was failing and leaving directories unpurged.
I have an HPRC call open about this and they have duplicated the problem.
Hopefully they will be writing a new patch, because I didn't discover this
problem until *after* I had overwritten my pre-patch backup tapes on my porting
machine.
