Quite a few years ago, when this list was relatively young, I wrote a series
of tutorials on TurboIMAGE, one per week. I can only presume that that
material is still available somewhere. At the moment, I am without much
connection to the internet. Our ISP's T1 line and switches are currently under
water. A city main burst again, the second time in four days.
The tutorials were essentially a course in IMAGE, however the course almost
immediately got a little off-course because one correspondent wanted to
compare what are good designs in IMAGE to Codd & Date's rules for relational
databases. I obliged in that regard, so a comparison, as you ask for, between
IMAGE and RDBMS's run throughout all of the subsequent sections, save the
first.
