Is the only part of the old NS/3000 that is not part of FOS the 3k-3k
communications, remote hello and dscopy? Or are there other things
which are missing.
For ODBC do I need NS/3000?
For SQL*NET to oracle do I need NS/3000?

For DSLINE

NS/VT comes bundled starting with 5.0 as well as with basic
TCP/IP network
transport.
Also - MS92 (32bit) will work with NT 4.0
Lastly - for 3K-to-3K communication, using NS (not FTP, which
comes as part
of FOS starting with 5.0), does require a purchase of NS/3000.
Hope this clears it up..
