Well, thanks in great part to the participants of this list, we
finally have our frame relay network up and connecting all three
of our facilities. With the installation of the last leg of the
frame relay, we can finally replace our microwave radio modems
and muxes. So, I offer the following for sale:
DATARACE MACH DS-16 Multiplexor, Model MDS1608
Multipoint Networks RAN19 Microwave Radio Modem
Transmit Frequency 954.45 MHz, Receive Frequency 958.05 MHz
There are a matched set of these units, that is, I have two of
each, and the radio modems are matched as far as the transmit-
receive frequencies go. These are licensed radios and require
an FCC license to be operated in the USA (the license is easy
to get and runs about $300 for five years). All equipment is
in excellent condition and was operating up until this morning.
The radio modems operate at 19200 bps. The muxes are 8-port.
We used these units to run asynchronous communications (six
terminals/PC's and two spooled, serial printers) between two
facilities about 20 miles apart.
The antennas will be included if you come out and take them
down from the roof of one facility and the 125-foot-tall
water tower at the other facitlity.
Please reply off-list, to me directly. No reasonable offer
will be refused.
