If you use the following file equation,

FILE QSLIST=RESULTS.PUB.TWL;NEW;DEV=DISC;DISC=500000

MPE/iX (probably MPE Classic, too) will wail plaintively:

Unknown keyword for FILE command. (CIERR 220)

The punctuation before "NEW" should be a comma (,) and not a semicolon (;)

Years of making such errors have helped me spot little things like this in
the work of others <grin>
