To which Ted Ashton replies (after enjoying the Music Man thread):

I know of only two others on the 3000 platform:
  1) RCS which works with flat ASCII or bytstream ASCII files and comes
     MPE/iX 5.5 (and maybe 5.0 as well).
  2) HPSRC which HP sells for $3200 if you can convince them that it's not
     discontinued :-) (which it isn't, its a matter of the left hand not
     knowing what the right hand is selling).  To get SRC/iX, call
     1-800-637-7740 or your preferred HP dealer.
