I am getting ready to "beef-up" our 959-200, and have a couple of questions for the list:

1) Has anyone considered the relative +/-'s of using 256MB or 512Mb cards instead of
adding the second memory carrier?
Currently I have 8 x 128mb cards. It has been suggested that instead of adding the
second memory carrier and more 128mb cards, that I swap out the 128's for 256 (or 512)
cards. Is there a downside to this approach?

2) Anyone out there using theHP A3400 autochanger on their 3000? If so, how is it working
for you? Why did you go that direction instead of with DLT? We have a fairly flexible
backup environment, so I am exploring several options.

3) Has anyone added the "external IO cage" to a 9x9 box?
I think the part number is: A1828A
Any tips/tricks to watch out for?

Private responses are fine.

Thanks
Terry Simpkins
