I've just returned from two weeks of travelling, part of which was spent at
the Compuware Uniface conference in Paris.

On Tuesday, April 28th, during the Compuware management Q&A session, one of
the pre-submitted questions was "Is Uniface 8.0 going to be supported on MPE?".
The responding Compuware manager diplomatically said they want to support
all solutions being used by their customers, but they had no immediate plans
to support Uniface 8.0 on MPE, and if the MPE platform was "still in use in
2001" (!!!) they might reconsider.

Obviously Compuware is unaware of the upbeat 3000 growth plans that came out at
IPROF98. Somebody at HP might want to educate Compuware; Uniface is an
extremely powerful and flexible middleware solution that would be very useful
to have on the 3000.

PS: I apologize for the delay in posting this. I didn't have any online
access while I was travelling.
