The best calculation is:

(amount to install) = 3.75 gb.


You've probably seen some dialogue on the list about this in the recent
past.  The bottom line is that there is no such thing as "enough" or "too
much" memory.  In a fairly busy environment, there isn't really even a
point of diminishing returns.

At this point, the "correct" amount of memory to purchase is truly an
economic decision and unless money is *very* tight, maximum memory is
indicated.
