     Let me echo this statement.  This is also the only time I get these
     errors.  I also get these when a terminal is not cabled correctly and
     the user can not get the "MPE\iX:" prompt.

I've usually found it to be a time-out on a log on.  In other words, a
user couldn't or didn't finish saying "HELLO ...".  Since the spooler is
part of getting logged on, you also get this error.  If unattached DTC
ports are giving you this error, suspect bad ports, DOWNing the ldev
number involved may solve the problem if you never intend to use those
ports.
