Didn't Jens von Buelow from Neil Harvey Associates port a pop client?
Or was it "just" elm? You might want to check ftp://ftp.nha.co.za/hp3000
for the true answer ;-)

By the way, I wanted to give "Pine/iX" a try but haven't found the time
so far. I wasn't even able to get it build out-of-the-box on HP-UX so it
might be a little difficult (but I really did not spend a lot of time on
it when I tried). Pine seems to speak POP and IMAP protocols. You might
try ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/mail or http://www.imap.org for details.

Cheers, Lars.
