Howdy,

And many thanks to all who responded. I'm late in this posting as
someone(s) in San Deigo or the "big cloud" hosed the mail for a
week. I have no idea who received what or what I missed. Oh
well........

After sending out the results of a DISCFREE to a number of
people it appears that my effort at a "poor man's" defragmentation
of the discs will run somewhere between 5 and 8 hours. Thereby
gaining contiguous disc space but not actually defragging any
files.

With the help of another list member I wound up in contact with
Lund Performance Solutions and they will provide an evaluation
copy of Dfrag-X. I need to do some heavy Adager work and then
run the Lund product which is going to take a couple of weeks
(only got Sundays to work with; ever been there?). I will make
the results available to list members upon completion, sort of
a before and after thing.

I would also like to mention that Bradmark also popped in with a
kind offer of a demo copy of their product. Why did I pick Lund?
Only because they were first to respond, and that was due to my
#$@@* mail screw up. I don't have time to do both so.........

Thanks again to all, I'll be in touch later
