Have any of you installed Newport Digital 2X128 SIMMs in a 9x7 box?
We're looking at doing this on a 987/200 and would like to get
testimonials (pro or con). I'm particularly interested in how it
might affect our HP support contract. Private responses are most
welcomed.

In my previous post I failed to mention one important piece of
information. Our 987/200 has 768M of memory installed - the maximum
capacity (using HP 2X64 SIMMs). The intention is to replace all but
the base pair (2 64M HP SIMMS) with the Newport Digital SIMMS to
bring the installed memory up to 1.4gb. Will the 987/200 recognize
and USE this additional memory?

Please forgive the oversight and thanks to everyone who already
responded to my original post.

Thanks,
Steve Barrett
