I've just put up a new version of QCTerm (Version 0.5) on the web. The URL for
downloading QCTerm is:

     http://aics-research.com/qcterm/index.html

Downloading is exceptionally simple. All you need do is download the self-
extracting file, unzip it, and then close the unzip routine. Your new version
is ready to go at that point.

This newest version should has these several new features:

o It supports defining the numeric enter key as an ENTER, RETURN or TAB
key.

o It better supports wraparound in the 80th or 132nd column.

o It supports the presence of spaces in an escape sequence. Although
spaces are not supposed to be legal, some programs generate command sequences
that way -- and Reflection supports it, so we must too.

o It supports the remembrance of where you leave the terminal screen on
the desktop, although I'm not sure that I completely like the way that we've
implemented the solution. Thus, there may be minor changes in this behavior in
the near future.

o But most importantly, by far and away, this version should properly
support forms/block mode. Absolute perfection is our goal. Clearly, we're
sneaking up on it rather than just outright pouncing on it, but if this
version doesn't work for you, I would truly appreciate hearing from you.

I want to especially thank Frank Smith for providing us with access to some of
his VPLUS forms. This version has been extensively checked out against Frank's
forms, DBCHANGE, QEDIT, and NMMGR. I would greatly appreciate hearing from
anyone who has any problem with this version. Adager, as always, has been
particularly generous in allowing us telnet access to one of their machines in
Idaho so that we can practice long-distance, over-the-internet forms filling
(which works well enough that I'm beginning to become a little impressed with
what may be possible).

When all of this is said and done, QCTerm will be a hard-as-nails emulator.
It's just that like any journey of a thousand miles, it occurs step-by-step.
Your patience and feedback are much appreciated.
