Excuse me for bringing this up on the HP3000 list:

I'm tinkering with an older PC that only has a monochome CGA compatible
monitor.  I'd like to throw Windows 3.11 on it, but Windows 3.11 set up
tells me I need a CGA driver for it to complete the install.  I seem to
recall something about this when Windows 3.11 was new, but I forgot what
it was.  Is there such a thing as a CGA driver that can be used with
W3.11?  If so are they manufacturer dependent?
