I was trying to port the DB 2.0 library from www.sleepycat.com, but it looks
like it *requires* mmap() and friends which don't appear to exist on MPE.

Have any of the other porters out there stumbled into this roadblock, and if
so, how did you deal with it?  Quit the port because it's impossible, or do
you have a secret stash of mmap() routines somewhere?
