I believe vt3k is an access package that'll let you VT into a 3000 from a
9000.

Heh heh. That could solve all your problems; everyone logs on the 9000, and
then get silently VT'd over to a 3000 to actually work! You could wow the
managers by "getting by" with just a small 9000 workstation! Just don't tell
anyone that you never actually unplugged that 3000 that sits silently in the
corner...
