To add my 2 cents ...
We got a demo of COMPARE from Aldon that uses both a START and END date to
establish the demo period.
We are currently running our TEST account at the fixed date of 12/31/97.
Thus, when we attempted to run COMPARE in that account, it wouldn't run.
Simple solution: we specified that COMPARE should be fed the constant date
of 02/27/98 IF it was run by a user logged on to the TEST account. The only
'disadvantage' is that all reports has the fixed date
02/27/98 instead of the TEST account fixed date of 12/31/97. (Really, a
minor problem)
And, users in all other accounts get the true system date.
(BTW we cleared this with Derek first --- and, of course, we have now
purchased COMPARE)
