The following method works for us as we use it every week to auto
shutdown the machine & restart using AUTORESTART/ix.
!job SYSHALTJ,MANAGER.SYS
!purge syshaltd.batchdta.sys>$null
!file syshaltd=syshaltd.batchdta.sys;dev=disc;rec=-80,,f,ascii
!echo pause 20 >> *syshaltd

!save syshaltd.batchdta.sys
