Can I get some suggestions on how, if possible, to control the width of a
Code 3 of 9 bar code on the HP LPQ1200 line printer, using any emulation
(preferably PCL)? Page 3-44 of the HP LP Series Printers Technical
Reference Manual states "The width of the printed bar code an be
approximated by an equation..." My intent is to control the width using
methods similar to those used on the HP2934 . The 2934A allows you to
control and vary the width of the bar code using escape codes. Using escape
codes you specify the width of the wide and narrow bars and spaces that
make up the bar code. I have approximately 40 alpha-numeric characters to
bar code on a document. Using the default options offered by the LPQ12OO
the bar code is about 10 inches long.
