<rant>

Does anyone else on this list share any of the embarrassment I feel for
myself and other list members on Shawn's behalf?  Why on God's green Earth
would anyone want to trash another hp3000-L member of long standing who has
contributed much to the well-being of the HP 3000 community?  Never mind
that -- he's a human being and doesn't deserve all the acrimony I've seen
today.  All that's been mentioned about the whole incident is supposition
and innuendo, AFAIK, and that's never been a just basis for public
humiliation.

If vendors have issues with Shawn, please take them up with him
individually and professionally as colleagues -- privately.
