Last week I finally got around to mass-converting all of our old-style
TTYPE/TVFC files to new-style MPE 5.5 setup files. Two days after that, I
installed PowerPatch4.
This week users are complaining about an extra blank page at the start of
certain reports printed on old DTC serial LaserJet printers.
Investigation suggests this only happens on spoolfiles in pre-spacing mode,
with a leading %061 CCTL, and using a new-style MPE 5.5 setup environment file.
Printing the same spoolfile with the same setup environment file to a
NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS network printer works OK without the blank page.
Printing the same spoolfile with the old TTYPE/TVFC file to the same serial
printer works OK without the blank page.
Has anybody else seen this? I've opened an HPRC call.....
