so if you used fileinfo.com you could do something like:
fileinfo <fileset> > listfile
then you would have your file attributes captured to a file you could then
upload and interrogate.
C:\Program Files\Reflection\hp\support\fileinfo *.txt
FILENAME EXT ------------LOGICAL RECORD----------------
RECSIZE ASC/BIN TYPE #RECORDS EOF(^Z) BYTES ARCV'D TABS
READMERW TXT 159 ASCII V 475 NONE 20301 NO YES
