By configure, do you mean add commands, or something else? Short of
using a different ftp "daemon", I know of no way to add other commands
as the object of SITE. This is why we investigated rsh to our NT server,
since SITE does so very little on NT's ftp server, probably for security
reasons. Coming from NT to the 3K, we SITE STREAM job streams that do
whatever we need them to, although those run under a very different id
than the ftp user id, for security reasons. Of course, you really have
no direct way of knowing that the job stream did not abort, although
sending a file back on successful completion or ftping the STDList (or
the former if it worked, and the latter if it didn't) are options.

I bet with more information about what you want to achieve, you will get
some interesting ideas.
