The version of Patch/iX on PP 4 is B.00.11.

However, when using AUTOINST, this new version is not restored from the
Powerpatch tape. You must explicitly restore it (and corresponding PATCH000
message catalog file). [...]38_4Feb199812:45:[log in to unmask]

I have been receiving a false error message when I run Vstore to verify
my nightly backup tape. When I check the tape ( restore files it says it
could not verify), all files seem to be stored . This is not an everyday
problem, so I thought at first it may be an issue with the tape, but it
has happened often enough ( three times in three weeks), that I am
beginning to wonder if it is something to do with the dat drive. Here is
the error message:

195 VSTORE ENCOUNTERED MEDIA READ ERROR ON LDEV 9 (S/R 1251)
196 SPECIFICALLY, VSTORE RECEIVED ERROR -44 FROM THE IO
197 SYSTEM (S/R 1555)

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer!
