Hello Niall,

It's easy to use the BULDACCT-utility, supplied by HP, for this purpose.
When run, it gives you 2 files: BULDJOB1 and BULDJOB2. The first one contains all the necessary commands to reestablish the accounting structure - down to the smallest bit - nicely wrapped into a streamjob - and the second file is a jobstream for re-generating the UDC's.
You specify the accounts needed when you run BULDACCT (and '@' for all accounts).

Be careful about leaving the resultant files in PUB.SYS. BULDJOB1 contains passwords for the accounts, groups and users you specified - easy readable for anyone who can log on to your system and get an MPE-prompt. Secure the files with a lockword or move them to a group in SYS with more suitable access-limitations.

Happy building!

Hans-Ole

Emne: Store / Restore

How do I restore an Account onto a system and re-create all the
original users and groups with their original capabilities and access
securities, the 'Create' option with the Restore command will only
create users that are the creators of any of the file being restored
and the Groups and Accounts are not re-created with there original
     securities.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as we tend to need to do
this alot and would obviously like to avoid having to re-create the
users each time and change their security etc..etc.

     Thanks in advance
     Niall.
