The default HPPATH as initialized from CI.PUB.SYS is:
'!HPGROUP,PUB,PUB.SYS,ARPA.SYS'; # cut from the code
This is the value that SHOWVAR would display. The !HPGROUP part is
reevaluated whenever you change your group via the CHGROUP command,
or by re-logging on. Note: the CHDIR command, even if the target is
an MPE group, does not impact the resolution of !HPGROUP.
