We have a data set where we use an X8 sort field, but are only writing 3
numerics to it, the rest is padded with spaces. Our application always
reads the first record on the chain, processes it, and deletes it, then
does a new DBFIND/DBGET. Users can update this sort key value to put
things at a higher priority, but what we are seeing is that the sort
sequence doesn't seem to be getting redone. This started showing up
after I enabled Critical Item Update.

Any ideas or known problems?

thanks,
shawn
