Interesting situation :

1- If you're friend doesn't understand the moral implications then he
should no longer be a friend. Here in Greece we say "Show me your friend
and I can then describe you" ...

2- If you're friend doesn't understand the moral implications then try
physical force ... start with his PC and work your way towards his kneecaps
... >:[

3- If there are laws against spam and your friend goes ahead and ignores
them, then your morals will have to decide whether or not you will report
him ... ;-))

4- If there are laws against spam and your friend goes ahead and ignores
them and you don't report him, then you are also breaking the law ... :-((

5- If there are laws against spam and your friend goes ahead and ignores
them and you don't report him and I find out about it, then *my* morals
will have to decide whether or not I report both of you ... :-)))))))
